About Panther Lake
Panther Lake Community Church began life over 100 years ago as a neighborhood Sunday School.  We continue to be a congregation that values a thoughtful approach to the Christian faith coupled with a soft heart.    In the best tradition of the free church, we encourage and support individual experience and expression of faith.  Experiencing God and connecting that experience with daily living is of primary importance to us--maintaining the church as an institution is a secondary concern.
In a world that is increasingly fragmented by social and political change, Panther Lake tries to renew the most valued traditions of Christianity without losing their significance in a postmodern era.  We are a congregation that values and fosters community with diversity which results in close personal ties and strong relationships that are inclusive and affirming.  Our denominational roots are tied to the American Baptist Churches USA (www.abc-usa.org) and we support the denomination's mission and outreach, but we are also focused on our community and welcome persons of any (or no) faith background.  You can learn more about the ABC/USA through the link listed above and on our home page, but you will learn most about us by worshipping with us this Sunday.  Church School begins at 9:15 AM and worship is at 10:30.  Child care is provided, but your kids are also very welcome in worship.  We're an informal bunch so wear what's comfortable for you.
